Getting Started with Ubuntu Desktops
Scroll down to the Linux desktop you’ve deployed with instructions on how to login to Ubuntu.
RDP Login
Once you have deployed any of the Ubuntu desktops, the first step is to RDP into the new instance once it has fully booted up. From your local computer open up the application called ‘Remote Desktop Connection‘ and put the IP address or hostname of your newly deployed Ubuntu desktop server:
Login using the username / password that was used during the deployment. If you used SSH keys, go back to the Azure/AWS or GCP portal depending on which platform you’ve deployed from and create a user/password for your Ubuntu instance.
Initial Setup
Once logged in, Follow the initial setup instructions to set language / keyboard settings if prompted to, otherwise you should now see the desktop.
Access Desktop Menu / Applications
In the top left you will see the main menu that opens your applications and settings.
You’re now ready to start using your new virtual desktop Ubuntu desktop.
